As part of this important environmental project, a continuous and intensive air quality monitoring program was designed and implemented in the area surrounding a major cement plant. Given the nature of the cement industry, which produces large amounts of dust and gases, advanced monitoring devices were installed to periodically measure concentrations of particulate matter (TSP, PM10, PM2.5) and other gaseous emissions. The collected data was carefully analyzed and compared with environmentally permissible limits, which helped identify weaknesses in the plant’s filtration and control systems.
